Little Devil Media has bought one more domain on the secondary domain market - WarJets.com. Recently, we purchased NavalShips.com (now developed) and ArmyVehicles.com (in development) in order to build a network of sites showcasing photos and videos of naval ships and army vehicles from around the world. In order to complete the network, we needed one more domain and WarJets.com was the perfect fit.

We're planning to start work on the site immediately so if you'd like to watch it's progress, stay tuned right here.

ArmyVehicles.com, is a website that we're developing not only to showcase videos and photos of Army vehicles from around the world, but to also bring breaking news.
Examples:
.jpg)
Visitors will be able to upload and share their own photos and videos. For example, a registered user can share a YouTube video on the website by entering the embedded code.
Because a dedicated server is needed to install video conversion software, Phase 2, will provide users the ability to upload their own orginal video.
Eventually this website will be networked with other sites we've developed like NavalShips.com. The site template and code from NavalShips.com is the framework for ArmyVehicles.com.
We've still got more work to do but keep checking back for more on how we took this expired domain name purchased from NameJet into a fully developed internet property.

We're excited to announce that we've acquired ArmyVehicles.com from a recent NameJet auction. Most people would probably pass on a domain like this, but we were eager to purchase the domain ArmyVehicles.com because it's an attractive fit to our existing projects that we're planning to launch - such as NavalShips.com. Some domains just make sense to our business, and ArmyVehicles.com is one of them.
We'll be putting together a case study which tracks the development of both websites and we'll be publishing it here -- so stay tuned as we share everything!

| Why Hire a Domain Broker? Namecake.com Shares Why |
|

Namecake.com provides the reasons and recommends brokers:
Well this current downturn hasn’t been doing me any favours of late. So I thought I’d broaden my horizons a little and try some of the domain brokers out there.
Now as I’m sure you’re aware there are lots of people willing to help you sell your names. There’s Rick Latona’s newsletter, Kevin at bigticketdomains.com, Evan Horowitz at Huntingmoon.com (who is a pleasure to deal with.)
But there were two that stood out above the rest and secured some very good sales for me (and still continue to do so.)
The first is Andy Kelly of URLBrokers.co.uk – Andy is an old school domainer and has been involved in this business full time for the last five years. He’s forgotten more about domains and closing deals than I’ll probably ever know. He is a pleasure to work with and tries very hard to get top dollar for your names. I can recommend his brokerage service without hesitation and if you are serious about selling your names he is definitely worth contacting.
The second is Eric Rice at DNcartoons.com – Eric has also been involved in this business for some time and is a domain selling machine. He sold 7 of my names in a two week period and still continues to get very nice prices for other names I have listed with him. Eric is a pretty straight shooter and doesn’t mince his words. If he wants to do business with you he’ll let you know. But don’t let this put you off as he has the second most popular domain newsletter online and some superb contacts, and most importantly – He delivers excellent results.

| Google's SEO Starter Guide |

Google reports:
"Webmasters often ask us at conferences or in the Webmaster Help Group, "What are some simple ways that I can improve my website's performance in Google?" There are lots of possible answers to this question, and a wealth of search engine optimization information on the web, so much that it can be intimidating for newer webmasters or those unfamiliar with the topic. We thought it'd be useful to create a compact guide that lists some best practices that teams within Google and external webmasters alike can follow that could improve their sites' crawlability and indexing.
Our Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide covers around a dozen common areas that webmasters might consider optimizing. We felt that these areas (like improving title and description meta tags, URL structure, site navigation, content creation, anchor text, and more) would apply to webmasters of all experience levels and sites of all sizes and types. Throughout the guide, we also worked in many illustrations, pitfalls to avoid, and links to other resources that help expand our explanation of the topics. We plan on updating the guide at regular intervals with new optimization suggestions and to keep the technical advice current.
So, the next time we get the question, "I'm new to SEO, how do I improve my site?", we can say, "Well, here's a list of best practices that we use inside Google that you might want to check out."

| Poker sites fight to get domain names back from Kentucky |

(ZDNet) This is a novel legal strategy. And so far it’s working. Last month, in an effort to preserve the state’s monopoly on legal gambling, Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear sued to have 141 online gambling sites’ domains transferred to the state’s control. According to the Washington Post, a big part of Beshear’s election was based on bringing casinos to Kentucky.
Kentucky circuit court judge Thomas Wingate granted the request, ordering domain registrars to do just that. Wingate found that Kentucky’s anti-gambling statutes allowed such a court order in that gambling website domains are “gambling devices” under the state’s law.
But what jurisdiction does the Kentucky court have? Opponents say none, since none of the sites or the registrars are based in Kentucky.

MIAMI, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- A Florida Indian tribe is considering a lawsuit against a former bodyguard who has staked claims to Web domain names.
Steve Thiele has registered www.miccosukeetribeofindians.com and www.miccosukeetribeofindiansofflorida.com. He has also staked out www.billycypress.com, with the name of the tribal chairman, The Miami Herald reported.
''I told them I'm not looking to sell it, but you can buy it,'' said Thiele.
The sites all lead viewers to 1stunna.com, which includes a picture of Thiele and information about his past, including a 7-year prison sentence for assault.
Thiele said he wants $500,000 from the tribe, while the Miccosukee have offered him amounts that started at $5,000 and have hit $100,000 so far...

We've launched the beta version of Untoons.com.
Help us celebrate the site by registering and sending us your feedback.
There are a number of fantastic artists on the internet involved in untooning, and we'd like to keep a close eye on their artwork.
Special Thanks to TrendDomaining.com for sparking the idea for this website! It's a great blog, and it has helped us capitalize on emerging trends. After reading his entry on Untoons, we registered the domain name, and rapidly developed the website after falling in love with the artwork of these amazing artists.
If you don't know what an Untoon is, check out Peter below that was originally posted over at Worth1000.com.
